With the Assassin’s Creed film quickly approaching, the one stunt all fans of the video game series knew couldn’t be avoided was The Leap of Faith. It’s a move where the main character—Altaïr, Ezio, Connor, etc.—jumps off of church steeples into bales of hay with physics-defying splendor you can only find in video games. But what happens when you need to pull off that trick for real?
Update: The original video has been going up and down all day. This clip is only a partial cut. If currently down, it looks like you can watch in full over at Screen Rant.
It turns out you end up shooting one of the highest-flying Hollywood stunts in history. Damien Walters, the stunt double for Michael Fassbender, takes the plunge, but only after building up to the head-spinning height with 70 and 90-foot jumps as well.
