Could the Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition be a better movie?

For anyone who missed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s coming home June 28 in a brand-new Ultimate Edition. As promised, it features an R-rated extended version of the film that runs 30 minutes longer and the first trailer for it is here, and its packed with unseen footage from the movie.

Collider debuted the trailer, along with a full list of special features that the disc will have. Those are called:

  • Uniting the World’s Finest
  • Gods and Men: A Meeting of Giants
  • The Warrior, The Myth, The Wonder
  • Accelerating Design: The New Batmobile
  • Superman: Complexity & Truth
  • Batman: Austerity & Rage
  • Wonder Woman: Grace & Power
  • Batcave: Legacy of the Lair
  • The Might and the Power of a Punch
  • The Empire of Luthor
  • Save the Bats

As for what those exactly entail, we don’t know. Most likely they’re short documentary, behind the scenes pieces.

So, so much new footage in that trailer though, right? Jena Malone, the guy with the scratch ticket, the missile, lots of dialogue. I’m dying to know if making this movie longer could actually make it better. Crazier things have happened.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition is out on Digital HD June 28. The physical disc is out July 19.
